The Life Skills “Sound Mind” component of the “SMSB” Academy is critically important to Student-Athlete development.   Life Skills are the areas outside of the classroom and playing field that either enhance or derail the student-athletes development and progress in high school and college.   The Life Skills sessions are highlighted by the sub topic below.

Academics - "Sound Mind "

 

The Academic “Sound Mind” sessions are the single most influential piece of the “SMSB” Academy.  In order to be a Student-Athlete in college, all high school students must graduate from high school, meet NCAA eligibility requirements and obtain passing ACT/SAT test scores.  Students must also begin to understand how to choose college majors and select a career for life beyond the playing field.  Listed below are a variety of sessions covered at the “SMSB” Academy.

Athletics - "Sound Body"

 

The Athletic training sessions are generally regarded as the Highlight of the “SMSB” Football Academy.  Students receive professional training that will enable them to compete on the highest level of the playing field.  Students also receive instruction from college and professional football players on how to improve athletic performance.
