SMSB Kicks off Its First Detroit Youth Football City Championship This Weekend

Sound Mind Sound Body Youth Association kicks off its first league-wide Detroit Youth Football City Championship this weekend. Several of the city’s finest football players will represent their respective teams as they compete for the championship title.
The competing teams earned their right to play after advancing with much grit from the 2022 Detroit Youth Football City Playoffs. Out of 11 of the SMSB teams, four organizations will be represented: The Eastside Raiders, Oldtown Ducks, Southfield Falcons, West 7 Rams, and the Westside Steelers. Each team has been practicing hard to perform to the best of their ability on game day.
Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 10 am, the following games will take place at Fordson High School located in Dearborn:

With many athletes, coaches, volunteers, partners, and supporters of levels 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U, SMSB is looking forward to a great game and celebrating all participants.
The Detroit Youth Football City Championship will be a one-of-a-kind game weekend. Commencement of the games begins at 10 am, with scheduling through 4 pm. Tickets for all spectators are just $10.
Sound Mind Sound Body Youth League has over 2,500 student-athletes committed to successfully prioritizing and balancing school and sports. Sound Mind Sound Body’s after-school program is composed of a unique curriculum that combines life skills, athleticism, and academics.
