SMSB PROJECT100

SMSB Project100 is a year-round travel football program for middle school football players (grades 6th-8th) who are focused on the goal of attaining a college scholarship.  SMSB Project100 participants stay engaged in football related activities year round beginning with the SMSB Youth Academy in the summer, the winter training program at the Mack Athletic Complex from December to March, the SMSB 7on7 travel team in the winter, along with SMSB mentoring and life skill seminars.

The SMSB Project100 will track the participants’ growth and development in the areas most critical to success both on and off the field: athletics, academics, and goal achievement.

The SMSB Project100 winter training program is 12 weeks of football training, tracking, seminars, and mentoring.

In the spring, SMSB Project100 participants visit colleges for basketball games and spring football practices.  In the summer, SMSB Project100 participants visit a major city like Washington, D.C. and tour the nation’s capital, monuments, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and attend football camp at Howard University and University of Maryland.

The SMSB Project100 year ends with the “Celebration of Success” recognition event. At the “Celebration of Success”, individual success is acknowledged, progress is encouraged, and new goals are envisioned for the next SMSB Project100 year.
